Ashley is an independent organisation development specialist. He has a particular interest in bringing about improvement in group and individual performance within contexts that present both complexity and paradox. Ashley's recent work has included facilitating work with boards and senior management groups on: team functioning, leadership, strategic thinking and performance management. He also provides individual 'shadow' consultancy to directors and senior managers. Other work has involved delivering action-learning based management development and performance evaluation programmes. He has been an Executive MBA Course Director at Roffey Park and is a tutor and set adviser on their MSc in People and Organisation Development. He was co-director of an executive 'Public Services Management Programme' at the London School of Economics and has recently been developing techniques that draw on the creative arts to enhance management practice. His background prior to becoming independent consultant nine years ago was as an internal consultant and senior manager in a large public service organisation. Earlier in his career he worked in journalism and advertising.
